| Member Services
The Association employs professional staff to manage and implement Association decisions, policies and plans and provide a range of services to members, including:
- Attending meetings and writing to represent local government views on issues to the NT and Federal Governments, non-government agencies and the NT community and lobby governments on funding, legislation and intergovernmental relations issues affecting local government in the NT;
- Encouraging and supporting local government best practice;
- Providing members with up-to-date information on local government issues via the weekly newsletter, ;
- Providing training to elected members and staff;
- Encouraging community and networking between local government bodies in the NT through meetings; and
- Establishing group or joint schemes which provide benefits and/or savings to members.
